Mother’s Day is nearing and now we are going through the rush of gift time — when we scramble to get gifts for our mothers. On Mother’s Day, we celebrate all of the things that our mothers do for us, and appreciate them. The thing is, we should do that every day. We are so used to all of the loving, kind, and comforting words that our moms tell us daily, that we don’t appreciate them as much as we should. Think about it. When you were crying as a little baby who sang you sweet songs with a comforting, “I love you” message? Your mom did. Who was there in the ups and the downs of life encouraging, and helping you achieve your dreams? Your mom was. And who believes in you, loves you, and always will? Your very own loving mother. My mom is all of these things and much, much more. Thinking about what to get her was a pickle. Nothing that I could find in any fancy store was good enough. What is, is appreciation. A few kind words to let her know that I appreciate her every day. It shouldn’t need to be Mother’s Day for you to appreciate your loving mother. Moms must love us. we can tell because they take us to 3D movies and laugh while wearing the dorky glasses!
